Constellation®

ConstellationConstellation is a digital microwave radio that meets the stringent performance and reliability requirements of a wide range of public and private network operators in North America. It features an all-indoor architecture designed for mid- to high-capacity applications.

Constellation enables simplified capacity upgrades—from 4xDS1 to 4xDS3 or 1xOC-3—and easy maintenance without tower-mounted equipment. It offers a rich set of standard and optional features, including superior transmission characteristics.

Operators with an existing installed base of Constellation radios who are looking to introduce support for Ethernet transport for new IP service requirements can take advantage of Aviat’s Network Transition Unit (NTU). The NTU is designed to upgrade and leverage existing Constellation installations to seamlessly and cost effectively add Ethernet transport, with a smooth upgrade path to eventual high capacity, all-IP operation.
