The WTM 3000 is the newest radio in Aviat Networks’ IP-centric wireless transmission platform. This new radio delivers a future-proofed, fully integrated, all-outdoor Ethernet/IP link and nodal solution, incorporating as Aviat’s Eclipse Packet Node Ethernet/IP Transport features for zero footprint applications.

For operators deploying 3G/HSPA and 4G/LTE networks, the many challenges of restricted site selection, the need for smaller antenna sizes, lowering costs and increasing backhaul intelligence are simply resolved with the WTM 3000. It is the most advanced all-outdoor packet networking node on the market today, delivering nodal capability and superior network resilience without the need for any indoor equipment, any time.

The WTM 3000 is the first complete outdoor packet networked radio that converges networking and wireless transmission functionality into a simple, zero-footprint package. Replacing two or three separate pieces of equipment, the WTM 3000 is the only IP radio to incorporate the functions normally provided by an advanced Carrier Ethernet switch, an IDU and the RF unit, all together into a slim-profile, environmentally-hardened assembly.

The WTM 3000 represents a breakthrough networking and transmission solution, incorporating the latest carrier-class Ethernet switch technology, multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports, Carrier Ethernet Quality of Service (QoS) controls, Ethernet Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM), and IP/MPLS awareness.

In addition, the WTM 3000 supports all the latest advanced radio features, including 256QAM ACM, 1+1 protected/space diversity configuration options, double capacity 2+0 links with XPIC.
